On the Saturday evening a gala banquette was held giving the guests a chance to mix with celebrities, world champions and internationally renowned martial artists. After a great 5 course meal the evening consisted of live entertainment, award presentations, and some fantastic demonstrations and finished with a disco to the early hours of the morning. By this time the alcohol had kicked and there was some serious dancing going on. Sensei Derek Laing was awarded his 4th Dan in Shotokan Karate for dedication and commitment to martial arts which completed a very enjoyable evening for all.
